In September 2024, after three years of work, Water Mellon finally left on a real trip: down the west coast of Lefkada, with the whole crew aboard.
After the long months of exhaustion and expense, it was finally just wind, sea and the three of us. Mickey barked his orders at every departure and arrival, then settled down calmly once we were sailing, as he always does.
The boat behaved beautifully. The list of small jobs for the winter grew anyway.
